Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise.
~ Benjamin Franklin
For the last 8 months this quote has proved true in my life due to the fact that I clock in for work at 6:00AM every day at The Drowsy Poet Coffee Co.
I know that if I don’t get the proper sleep, then I’m pretty much useless. I’m not as sensitive to the Holy Spirit, I’m groggy, don’t feel good, and the day drags on. I’ve learned that you prepare for tomorrow the night before (Darren Hileman).
Different people have different schedules; but what is important is learning how your body works and what it requires (which, other than prayer, is almost always less than what you think), and doing what is necessary to best prepare yourself for your day of service.
- What about you? Is bed time early or late, or does it change?
- Do you feel that your current bed time is best for you? Why?
- Do you think you should change it? Would you?
Sleepy at 10PM, and never thought I would be (goodnight)…
